Looking back on my walk in this life I have come to realize many things that have made a lasting impression on me. Being a "Fat Kid" and growing into a "Fat Man" I have come to experience a lot of prejudice from a variety of people. One of the most shocking experiences I have had is running into this prejudice from Christians. I have heard even a few of the big-time televanglist preach that fat people aren't in the will of God.
Very disturbing. I have heard one television preacher say that he supported a Christian woman wanting to divorce her Christian husband because he gained weight since they got married. This is utterly ridiculous. What happened to the love of Christ? I have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and Jesus accepts me as I am. Do I need to try to live a healthy life? Yes. Does it mean I am going to hell if I am fat? NO! Anyone who thinks that is an idiot. (no apologies)
How dare they put conditions on the love of Christ! Regardless of your size, your color, whether you have a physical or mental impairment has nothing to do with Jesus' love and acceptance of you.
If you are an addict, JESUS loves you. If you are an alcoholic, JESUS loves you. If you are a homosexual, JESUS loves you. If you are a child molester, JESUS loves you (Yes he loves them too). Jesus accepts your faults and loves you regardless. Does he approve of your sin? NO! Should you continue in your sin? NO! Get treatment, pray for deliverance, abstain.
Jesus doesn't care about your sin, he knows you've sinned and he still wants to save your soul. The work he did by hanging his bloody broken body on the cross with his arms open wide is an open invitation saying, "Everyone Welcome, Come As You Are."

Christians have forgotten how to seek their own salvation with fear and trembling. Why are so many Christians just little children looking for some leaders hand to hold? We have all the power in the world and are too afraid to use it. Maybe we will when we become mature enough to learn that we have only enough time and strength to pull the huge flipping beams out of our own eyes.
