To all who have read my little blog, I wish to say thank you. I have been out due to work and illness so it has been hard to focus on enough to blog about. I would like to express special thanks to those of you who have commented and shared with others on this blog, you are really appreciated.
I know that my blogs have come across as bitter, and maybe deep down they are rooted there but I feel it is more out of anger than bitterness. Not anger because I personally was wronged or hurt but more like anger that we (the body of Christ), here in the United States, have such a unique opportunity and we are abusing each other or trying to see if we can one-up one another. We preach against sin so hard yet through our mistakes we push the world away from the loving Christ that they need.
I myself struggle with hypocracy on a daily basis. I rail against the failings of the leadership but I fail mutiple times, daily. The world needs the Love of Christ, but so does the Body. I encourage you to draw closer to Christ. Examine your heart and seek His guidance. We, the people who have received the Great Commission from Jesus need to accept the good news first and then take it to others.
We should try to build integrity and character into our Christian life. We should pray for Godly wisdom. We should not get trapped by our sins or mistakes, but rather we should realize that Christ can help us overcome these things. The Bible says that NOTHING shall seperate us from the love of Christ. We need to remember that we are in the world not of the world. And the world we are in NEEDS JESUS!
They don't need gimmicks. They don't catches. They don't snake-oil. They don't new a new program. They don't need a shiny pew. They don't need to be cheated. They don't need to be fooled. They don't need to be lied to. They don't need a Christian telling them why they are the most vile creature that God ever made. THEY NEED JESUS and HIS LOVE.
The only Love that can change the heart of a world dying in sin is the Love of Christ. I personally cannot love like that...I'll be honest. I don't know how. -- Jesus does. It is hard for me to love some people. So I need the Love of Christ too. I need Jesus' love so I can share it with others.
So, I don't care who you are. I don't care what you believe. I don't care if you hate me. I don't care who you are voting for this year. I don't care if you are the vilest of sinners or the greatest of the saints. It doesn't matter to me what your job is or how much you make. I don't care if you have a problem with body odor. If you breath oxygen, have a pulse, and a soul...I love you with the love of Christ. Jesus loves everyone and offers salvation freely to all who will ask. So I accept his offer and I offer Jesus FREELY to you.
If you have already accepted Christ freely then pass that love to those around you.
FREE JESUS!

I agree that the love of Christ in us will draw folks to God and sometimes we all get bitter if we look at the Church as it is but I think what really makes us bitter is we are seeing ourselves (me included). And I agree the love of Christ is what the world needs.
