Lately I have been hearing and reading from a variety of sources that there more and more Christians who believe that Christianity may not be the only path to God. This opens up the door for a variety of discussions and arguments. How many ways are there to God?
Is the Bible true or not?
Can someone come to God without going through Christ?
If so, why did Christ have to die then?
Was the sacrifice of Jesus made in vain?
Was Christ, GOD?
What did Jesus mean, that he was the way, the truth and the life, and no man can come to God except they go through Christ?
I have definite, strong opinions about this subject but I really would like to hear from others about this. Please respond to this and let me know what you think. If you would wish for me not to post your reply just let me know and I will honor your request.
Thank you,
Terry

Jesus said I am the truth, the way, the light. There is no other way to the Father but through me. Jesus is the way. That's why in the '60's, the "one way" buttons and stickers were popular.
Even the spearchuckers in the jungle have evidence of God through nature (Romans 1).
Any other way, would be man's way to earn our salvation or right to God through works. And that appeals to the flesh. That's why Paul was telling the Galations not to go back to the jewish traditions and ways through the law.
Jesus was rightly so when he said that he would be a stumbling block to the wise. I'm glad I'm a simple Christian who has Jesus as my Master.
I am a Christian who abhors rhetorical hard lines, propaganda and black and white answers. I am sure you will understand this fact of my character by the extremely measured and controlled response I give to the notion that there are other ways to be saved from your sin, your flesh and the certain doom of an eternity in the lake of fire with the devil and its angles.
Q. Is there a way to God and salvation other than Jesus Christ?
A. No. Anyone who says so is an agent of the devil and a liar. You cannot by definition, be a Christian unless you accept, believe and confess that Jesus died for your sins and rose from the dead and sits at the right hand of the Father in glory. May anyone who says differently reap the rewards of their apostasy, duplicity and damnable lying which could lead others to deny Christ.
See how diplomatic and inclusive my beliefs are? If all Christians could be as understanding as I am. . .
